Summary: The fuel line assemblies on these sport utility vehicles may have been damaged by the supplier during manufacturing, allowing leakage. Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source can result in a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect these vehicles and, if necessary, replace the front and rear fuel line assemblies. Owner notification began Jan. 3, 1999. Owners who do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Ford at 1-800-392-3673.
