With its Chevrolet Tahoe hybrid version, General Motors now offers the perfect synergy of space, eight-cylinder-power and economy. But why should we be content with this if we can get even more economic and environmentally compatible? GeigerCars.de now offers the Tahoe Hybrid even with an LPG system.

With its "two mode" function, the Tahoe saves money even in its ex works condition. On the one hand, the SUV has a 6.0 litre aluminium-V8 for powerful 332 PS at 5,100 rpm and a torque of more than 498 Newton metres at 4,100 rpm. On the other hand, the motor has an automatic cylinder deactivation system to temporarily switch off one bank if it isn’t needed to save more fuel. GM’s engineers now combined this advanced technology with an electric drive including a regenerative braking system and completely combustion-free starting after stops, making the large Chevy the first serial hybrid SUV ever at the time of its introduction on the market at the end of 2007. With this kind of motor, the hybrid offers a fuel consumption of approx. 11 litres per 100 kilometres ex works, which is a remarkable value in a vehicle of this size and with these luxurious transport capacities.

"Two-Mode" becomes "Tri-Mode"

GeigerCars.de now goes one step further in terms of economy. The US-car-specialist from Munich now also offers the Tahoe Hybrid with an LPG system, turning the Chevy from a "two-mode" vehicle into a "tri-mode" SUV, combining traditional fuel, electric drive and LPG in a single car. Its gas tank can hold 109 litres so that it can travel quite adequate distances. With this equipment, GeigerCars.de even manages to cut the effective fuel costs in half at the current price for LPG. This definitely adds an additional incentive for purchasing the visually appealing Chevy Tahoe hybrid with its great equipment. Geigercars.de charges a fair price of 56,000 Euros for the serial version. The LPG system installed subsequently in Munich, including all ancillary costs, makes for another one-term payment of 4,000 Euros.
